Hello, these are the home pages of the Monklands Ramblers Club, one of the largest R.A. clubs in Scotland, and the first Scottish R.A. club on the Internet! We are based in the Monklands area of Central Scotland in North Lanarkshire, some 12 miles east of Glasgow.

  • Meeting Point: Meet at Strathclyde Park Visitor Centre at 12 noon.
    The walk follows the Avon way to Chatlereaux, then the old mineral tramway, past the site of Hoolet Row. A bit beyond, we return to the Chatlereaux Visitor Centre for coffee before returning to Strathclyde Park. Good paths throughout the walk
